Adaptive Wing Design
As the industry moves towards an all-rigid trend, we have developed the unique Adaptive Wing Design concept offering the perfect balance between performance and comfort. Indeed, the stiffer the wing, the more uncomfortable and difficult it will be to hold in high beach, especially without a harness. The wings must therefore be able to absorb this power, like the flexing of the mast and the opening of the leech in windsurfing or the border-shock in kiteboarding.
For this new STRIKE V.2, the Adaptive Wing Design makes it possible to transform each gust or gust into positive energy and to perfectly control traction. The STRIKE is designed to adapt completely in navigation thanks to a control of its deformations which makes it possible to preserve a powerful form in all the range of use. It releases power when there is too much and takes the right shape for a given wind without degrading the quality of the profile, while maintaining unprecedented stability.
To achieve this result, we worked on the entire diameter of the leading edge and modified the shape of the central strut to add diameter. Its cut becomes segmented, allowing better control of its curve and its deformations. In addition, the twist of the wing has been revised offering more twist.
Materials :
After three years of intensive research on the design of wings and 25 years of designing kites, the field of possibilities of “classic” materials (Dacron and Polyester) remains enormous. They are perfectly suited to the challenge of exploring the world of Adaptive Wing Design.
Our experience and the feedback on our previous collections have enabled us to better analyze the reinforcement and structure needs of a wing. The STRIKE V.2 will be even stronger and more durable.
Pre Loaded Canopy:
From the beginning, our wings have had a unique tension that allows them to maintain the ideal shape during navigation. This tension can be compared to that of a windsurfing rig which stretches out before going sailing. Our wings are therefore "pre-tensioned" and designed to adjust in action. The interesting effect is that the ideal tension created at the trailing edge when sailing ensures much better performance upwind and in light winds.
Center of Pull:
The balance of the center of pull is crucial for a successful kite. Throughout our development, we attach great importance to its stability so that you can maintain the balance of traction on your two arms regardless of the angle of attack and the strength of the wind. The wing keeps the same balance and requires little pressure adjustment between the front or back hand. The wing is stable and guarantees maximum comfort throughout your session.
The wing is your engine and should pull you forward, not sideways. Since our first SWING, this has been one of the unequaled qualities of our wings. The traction of the STRIKE V.2 is improved with an impressive advantage in strong winds, because you only have to shock to feel the pressure decrease and the traction go forward.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Freeride:
With its constant traction, control, light weight and stability, it is perfect for freeriding, whatever your level. Its power and pumping are its strengths for planing and exploiting the low range.
New range of use and its advantages:
We work a lot on the range of use of our wings to guarantee a very good planing start with the necessary performance for light wind. We want to push each surface as far as possible in the high range.
What are the interests?
Being able to use as few wings as possible to cover your wind range while still sailing comfortably when the wind drops or picks up during your session.
It sometimes takes two wings from the competition to cover the range of use of a single STRIKE.
Benefiting from comfort and performance in the high range while retaining surface area offers more lift and softer landings in jumps.
Plan earlier while reducing the volume and size of your board.

Handles:
Right from the start, we chose small-diameter, rectangular-shaped grips, with flatter parts that fit snugly into your knuckles. You don't hold on to the handles; you keep control at your fingertips effortlessly. We have again for this new STRIKE opted for flexibility, which allows you to maintain the perfect angle between the Wing and your arms. Indeed, our wing being extremely stable, rigid handles were not necessary. With our softer, lighter, more comfortable and well-designed handles, you won't hurt yourself or damage your Wing when storing it.
Weight - Control - Stability:
Building on the success of the STRIKE V.1, we have improved all its qualities.
First of all, the V.2 keeps its incomparable ultra light weight, pleasant in all phases of flight. Stability is improved by respecting the profile and the center of traction of the wing when sailing. The V.2 has a constant and homogeneous traction.
It offers a blend of precise handling and smooth control while working for you thanks to the Adaptive Wing Design.
Fabric tensions and profile distribution are improved.
A new distribution of the spinnaker panels makes it possible to better distribute the tensions by ideally orienting the straight grain of the fabric for better control, but also for more durability.
The infill is kept to a minimum to provide profile control without adding weight and leaving a bit of vision.
This improvement in the wing's stability in flight allows you to keep better control of your foil and your trajectories whatever your level.
The STRIKE V.2 lets itself be forgotten during freeflys and allows you to concentrate on your surfs or the swell.
